No Show and Late Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, not calling in advance to cancel can prevent another pet from taking that slot in the doctor’s schedule and receiving treatment. A veterinary/client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments and ask that you give us a call when you are unable to keep your appointment. As a courtesy, we provide reminder texts, emails, and app alerts before your appointment. Our missed appointment policies are outlined below.
Late Arrival Policy
We make every effort to be on time for all our appointments. Unfortunately, when even one patient arrives late, it can throw off the entire schedule for that day. In addition, rushing or “squeezing in” an appointment shortchanges the already scheduled patients and contributes to decreased quality of care. Our desire is and always will be to deliver the highest quality, most compassionate care to all our clients and patients. To do this, we must make sure we are able to give each of them the time and attention they deserve. Therefore, a client who arrives 10 minutes or more late to their scheduled appointment may be asked to reschedule. Repeated late arrivals may require a deposit to hold future appointment slots.
Cancellation of an Appointment
To respect the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If you must cancel your scheduled appointment, we ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Your early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care. You can also cancel via PetDesk, our app, text message, email, or by leaving a voicemail after hours.
No Show Policy
A “no show” is an appointment missed without canceling it prior. Failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart. The first time there is a “no show”, we will contact you via phone/text to reschedule and remind you of our policy. With a 2nd occurrence, you will be able to schedule future appointments with a prepaid exam deposit at the time of booking, refundable only if canceled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time.
